You could always cannibalize an Apple iPod Mini as it has the same 4Gb MicroDrive in it, though it does cost $50 more than the least expensive MuVo2. It's still better than paying $399 for the bare drive.

Unfortunately the iPod Mini uses an OEM version of the Hitachi that has the CF card interface disabled. :-( This has been covered extensively on most of the chat sites.


Only the Muvo2 has been proved to work, and it's sold out everywhere.
