Has anyone used a SanDisk CF FireWire Reader? Is it worth to buy?
I currently use a SanDisk CF FireWire reader with my PowerBook G4. I like the detachable FireWire cable. (the permanently-attached cable made packing the old "purple" Lexar or Microtech reader more difficult). I haven't run across any compatibility problems with the SanDisk reader. However, the CF slot is poorly designed. It was made in order to allow Type II CF cards to be used, but it is possible to insert the card incorrectly and bend the pins. Fortunately, SanDisk replaced the reader under warranty when I bent the CF pins.
