Hi!
You don't even need Wein optical slaves. 550EX can be optical slave by itself. What
you want to do is put you 550EX in manual slave mode. (not E-ttl slave mode) Set the
power, zoom, put it on tripod or something and you are done. When a flash (your Alien
bees, or your on-camera flash) will fire, so will the others (if you have your Alien
bees on optical slave as well).
If you have Alien Bees on PC cord, then just fire away. Just allow more time for 550EX
to recycle (it is slower than 220V studio strobe).
