I have a 2-year-old 285HV, bought new from B&H for $80.

Trusty ol' Fluke says: 7.9V. I don't know who feels safe or unsafe using it
on Canon cameras, but I feel completely safe using it on my 10D, G5 and 1V
and have done so many times.

If I had a strobe with a 350V trigger voltage, I'd throw it in the trash,
probably after smashing it to bits with a hammer. That shouldn't even be
legal.
