Hey, folks!

I've just completed a draft of a lookup system for people wanting to know compatibility information between certain Canon camera bodies and flash units. I'm sure it'll do nothing to stem the tide of, "why doesn't my flash work with my new digital Rebel?" questions, but one can only dream.

Anyway. It's a mildly complex bit of code with a bazillion permutations so it'd be great if you could take a look at it with camera/flash combos that you know and see if there any errors.

I also have a few specific questions for which I don't have any data, not owing the equipment in question.

- The 420EX does not cover all 45 points of an EOS 3 or 1V or higher. Which points is it actually capable of covering?
- Is it correct that the 300EZ and 420EZ use A-TTL for P, Av and Tv with TTL for M when used on a TTL-capable film body? Does the 420EZ have the same behaviour as the 420EZ - ie: does it fire white A-TTL preflashes when in bounce mode rather than reverting to TTL like the 540EZ?
- I've seen contradictory information on flash exposure bracketing included with the 550EX and the two EX macro flash units. Some material suggests that FEB requires an EOS 3 or greater to operate; other material suggests it works pretty well on any EOS camera since you just take three photos in succession and the flash levels change for each shot. Can anyone comment on this?

Please email me with comments/bug reports and the like. Note also that I'm well aware that a bunch of EOS camera models are missing - I'm working on that. Thanks!

 - NK Guy
