Looks as a shutter problem. My friend's EOS 30 had the same symptoms.
I opened the camera and shutter was blocked - someone pushed it during
film loading probably. Canon service unblocked and calibrated shutter.
Cost was approx. $ 45,-

Look at your shutter carefully.
