And I'll have to admit, the 20D example to which Bob pointed did look
impressive.

I've used the Zone System for 25 years (it's a bit simplified with
chromes), and find the combination of spotmetering and the viewfinder
exposure scale in the EOS-3/1v (and of course 1D/1Ds) to be an
indispensible setup.  But perhaps it's just a matter of habit.
