There're some very expensive and fast 1GB and 2GB CF cards from Lexar; but depending on shooting style the internal 10D buffer can be enough and you can use some slower devices.

The main reason to use a high speed compact flash is for transfer times. Write times within the camera and formatting times, while meaningful, are less important for many people than data transfer rates to the storage device. I'm currently looking for a digital wallet with firewire and a battery that will last for 20 gigs without recharging. That or one that has replaceable batteries so xtras can be taken along. Currently I use Sandisk Extreme and am happy with them.
