I did some tests with the 300D, filling up the buffer then seeing how long
it took to empty. With either a 16x card or a 40x card it took about the
same time. I calculated the time it took as approximately 12x150kB/s (In
case anyone doesn't know the speed of CF cards is quoted in multiples of 150
kB/s). From what I've read the max write speed on the 10D is similar but the
1Ds and 1DII can benefit from much faster cards.
