Yes, well as I said I don't like that method. And still, it doesn't
change the focus mode. For me, it's very important to have great
control over the shutter button, in order to get no shake when
shooting as I often do in low light at low speeds, even with IS. I
have to give it a very soft push. I also have to control whether I
take a series of shots or just one, with the shutter button. I can't
do that when I'm straining to hold down another button with my thumb
on the same hand. Plus, I like to use that button for exposure lock
sometimes.
