According to a Dutch slide-projector expert/supplier, the 
JVC DLA-SX21 came rather close, even at 'only' 1400x1050 pixels 
(apparently it doesn't work out the same way as 20-25k pixels with 
image-taking equipment + printing!), but at 10k euro only for 
professionals or extreme hobbyists.

And that was over a year ago, probably the same principle 
(DLA or D-ILA) has been improved in a next model.
