Also, the lack of depth of field at f/1.0 argument is specious, at best. I've you've got to shoot at f/1.0, what's better, little depth of field or no picture?

I think that the demand for it just did not justify its production, and that many felt that its performance did not justify its cost. Few people that owned it used it much for the comments were that the depth of field was so shallow that is was very unusable at f1.0
