Here are different stores and prices. Yes, I do have a bit of a trust issue and want to make sure for the price being spent, I am getting the "real McCoy"
So here are good comparisons at anyrate - looks like Tiger Direct offers what appearsto be usual box contents (like user an instruction manual) - but some offer the NC-E2 which are in some places being offered separately for 399 - while others do not offer video cables, USB2 cables, handstraps/neck straps, etc.
Any comments from the group?
I think that in several of those cases it is just a matter of the store being sloppy in listing the contents. Several of those listed are reputable folks. I'm fairly confident after my previous purchases, that you will get a recharger and all the standard contents from buydig. I've bought canon gear from them before and it's full warranty, no stripped nonsense. They charge a horrible restocking fee for almost any reason so you have to be aware of that but they don't hide that fact in any way. I'll bet if you call them they will explain that the charger is included as would some of the others. Some of those may be stripping items but some are just not being precise. Call each vendor you are seriously considering buying from and confirm it is a USA warranty camera with all the bundled accessories.
pg 170 of the manual shows the bundled accessories:
Wide Strap L5 Lithium Battery CR2025 EOS Digital Solutions/DPP Software on two cd's Battery NP E3 DC Coupler Kit DCK-E1 NiMH Charger NC-E2 Interface Cable IFC-400PCU Interface Cable IFC-200D4 Video Cable VC-100 EyeCup EC-II
But even that doesn't mention the manuals for the software and the camera itself.
And that, I believe, is a wrap. -- Bud Kuenzli
