Gary, You want Tripod Mount Ring B (B) - B describing the type of fitting and (B) describing the colour: black. I posted this on March 1st 2002 and it may help you save some money: "F.Y.I., tripod collar adapter (Canon PART number YG2 - 0500 NOT AN ACCESSORY) will allow the use of tripod collar type B (standard on many L lenses) with 100 f/2.8 USM Macro. The adapter fits neatly onto the lens locating at three detents. The tripod collar fits over the adapters four lugs in the same way as it would on a lens. Smoothness of rotation is compromised but otherwise it works very well." IIRC the cost of the part inc P&P was less than 20, so if you have the collar already..... There may be a bit more info on this subject in the archives. HTH CraigZ -- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
