Well, you can get both in the same body, pretty much. 
It's called the 1DsMkII. But it's a bit more expensive
than what I was thinking about.

You could fit a 30mmx30mm format into the image circle
of existing full frame lenses, which might make an
interesting option.  No more worry about vertical
grips, rotating images, or flip brackets for flash
units. But we might well need new flash units.  I
don't know if any of Canon's existing ones would cover
30mm in the "vertical" dimension. And for sure we'd
need new lens hoods.

But the biggest issue is that most people (including
me, in general), like the 1:1.5 format of 35mm film.
