I got about a same offer from Sigma Germany. Wasn't happy with it either, since the 400 5,6 and the 135 - 400 (or 170-500) were about the same price a few years ago. In my case I had to pay � 400,- extra. Crazy, it's their fault that my 400 5,6 doesn't work anymore .... How I treasure my new bought Canon 135 f/2 and 70-200 f/4.... :) No more Sigma for me in the future.
