Yesterday during an improvised portrait session in a birthday party I went to change lenses in a rush and my finger slipped out of the button, making the spring eject the button with all strenght from its housing.<br> The button piece seems to be complete and shows no breaks but when I put it back in the socket, it isn't locked in place. I noticed a thread on the bottom of the button and I assume that a slip-in washer lock is applied from the inside to keep it in place.
The lens release mechanism is still usable in its "raw" form (luckily I don't eat my nails :-) :-) Any tips on how to solve this?
