On 6/9/05, Schlake (William Colburn), discombobulated, unleashed: >I keep filters on my lenses so that I can clean them by licking them and >wiping them on my shirt.
! I used to keep filters over the front elements for protection. Now I don't - I've decided that since I've paid hard-earned money to get decent glass, why would I put extra glass in front of it for no reason other than 'protection' when I am not accident-prone (never dropped a lens or a camera, ever). Extra glass means extra light bouncing around in terms of diffraction. I have on lens that is impossible to cover with a filter, and that has a huge bulbous front element. So the rest lost their filters in sympathy :-) Cheers, Cotty ___/\__ || (O) | People, Places, Pastiche ||=====| http://www.cottysnaps.com _____________________________ * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
