Dear Malcom I have the same Sigma lens and sometimes it does not like to work, I've barely used it and it feels like I've taken it to a battle, maybe is part of the savings of buying it ;) Patricio DueƱas --------------------------------------------------- Hi Patricio, Thanks for your suggestion. I've just given it a try on my EOS3, but whilst I can focus it manually, it stubbornly refuses to work automatically. Trying it has reminded me, again, as to why I bought it some years ago - 17 on full frame is w i d e. Guess I'll send it off to Sigma UK again. When I last used it (after having my EOS10D "calibrated") its performance was excellent. After the drop test repair, and prior to the "calibration" on my 10D (By Lehmanns in Stoke-on-Trent), it was lousy! There's a couple of images on my website showing the well known "problem" on the right hand side - these were taken before the big drop test.
