The 4 MP from my old 1D, which I still use, is good enough for a double spread. I've made 16x20s from it that are perfectly clear. The drawback with the 1D is it's noise. The noise at 800 on the 1D is more than the noise at 400 on the 1D.2.
I, too, enjoy using my 16-35. More than I thought I would I find myself rarely using my 28-70 any more. The 1.3 crop isn't too bad. You'll be fine with a used Mark II. Although I like to shoot with my 16-35L, I think I could live with the 1.3 crop factor. * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
