I'd suggest reading it. That flash is complicated. I got mine out of E-TTL mode recently and didn't realize it. The pictures were coming out underexposed so I thought I had accidentally dialed in some exposure compensation or flash exposure compensation, but I couldn't figure out how to undial it.
