(The worst part of the expected name confusion will be the Ebay
rip-offs with old D30 iso 30D's :-)

I find spot metering on digital bodies almost pointless. If lighting
is tricky I'll shoot some and make adjustments to my settings from
the histogram info. I still have a good spot meter and often use it
for LF and other non-metered bodies, but not digital. I see nothing
in the 20D announcement that would get me to upgrade, or get me to
spend more for a 30D than a 20D.
The 85/1.2 II on the other hand, will finally get me buy those
optics. The slow focussing in the previous model was just too
frustrating. This lens should be just wonderful on the 5D.
