Not everyone has the time to evaluate the histogram when shooting, 
nor the card-memory to keep shooting brackets....;))
(some like to keep looking through the viewfinder, for example....;))
(add the (possible?) option to attach the spot-metering cell to the 
(auto- or manual-selected) AF-cell, and you have a far more dynamic 
concept)

At least it will bring down second hand prices for that lens....:))
My bet: on the PhotoKina 2006, there will also be a successor for the 
200/1.8....:))
(leaving only the 16mm fisheye as a first-generation optics in the 
system....maybe a good reason/timing to upgrade that one as well, and 
put a 8mm or even 6mm circular fisheye next to it....:))
(if Canon can't do it for lack of market, even in todays VR-imaging 
industry, who can?)

Oh, and maybe a mirror-lens, plus a bunch of high-end DO's of 
course....;))
