I don't know--the 100k shutter looks like a solid improvement to me. It's clearly just an incremental update to the 20D, but it's slightly less expensive, slightly more reliable, and has a few extra features (spot meter, 1/3 stop ISOs). I've been toying with the idea of finally replacing my D60, and the 20D and 5D's short shutter lives have been worrying me. The 30D looks almost perfect for its price point, though.
