I bought several lots of slide carousels on eBay in the late 90s. All I wanted
was the carousels. But a couple of lots (probably 10 or so trays) came loaded
with family slide collections - stuff that went back to the 50s. Vacations,
family events, and all that. But nothing that could be used to identify who
the people were. My friends and I gave them all a final viewing (with a bit of
amused commentary :) and then I reluctantly discarded them all, except for one
tray that I found particularly fascinating.
