Subject: RE: EOS lens filters

But, after reading all the things people said about filters, I had to try
it for myself. I posted a little commentary with the two pictures about
how I shot them. The shutter speed difference might invalidate my whole
"test" here, but I'm willing to lean towards the idea that it doesn't
because it doesn't look like motion blur.

Was the focus of the lens completely untouched?

There was an AF test a couple of years ago that showed not all AF cameras
focus perfectly, and even the same camera did not always focus consistently
even with the same lens.

Now I'm going to have to try my EF100-400 with and without the B+W
filter........

After I noticed a difference with my 28-135IS, 100 f2 and Tokina 28-70 f2.6-2.8, we pretty much swore off UV filters on our lenses. But we were using Hoya MMC filters, not B+W or Heliopan, so the quality of yours might help. I'd be interested to know.
