I have been using my relatively new 180mm macro lens on the 5D camera. I'm having exposure variation problems when using evaluative metering. I have two shots, one after the other, with no changes to the camera. I used mirror lockup. In both cases the auto-focus point was exactly the same. The only thing I can think is that I did not cover the eye piece. I'm wondering if this is the problem or if it is something else.
Here is a properly exposed shot: http://www.zuik.net/5D/exp1_MG_3358.jpg and here is an under exposed shot: http://www.zuik.net/5D/exp2_MG_3357.jpg As far as I know, nothing was changed between these shots and I can only imagine the eye piece not covered is the issue. I'm relatively new to the Canon camp, so am wondering if I am correct in assuming the uncovered eye piece is the problem?
