Are you referring to the blue (for IR) anti-alias filter? I'm not sure if that is directionally sensitive, but the sensor itself has some. The anti-alias filter locally blurs the light to a few pixels. It may also blur more to off angle light, but not sure about reducing light. Did you have the eyepiece covered? >I don't expect too many 20D users will be using this lens (or the TS-E >45, 90) so it will probably not be usefull information to many, but just >incase it was, I thought I'd post it here. I'm very interested. As I was considering one. A shifted perspective in camera will still be better than a PS corrected one. But I have concern on digital sensor issues at FF. Any experience you can report I would be interested in hearing. >Still I must say that the image quality I'm getting is pretty good, and >seems to equal previous scans made of RDP-III using a Ni%#n Coolscan >LS-IV scanner. Digital has passed film (I have an LS-4000) now. And I have been re-thinking my technique for the higher resolution (no longer 50mm at 1/60 speed sort of rules). >I guess that if I was shooting 3000 images a day (as one user reported >doing recently with their D30) or if I was doing wildlife where my >lenses became 'longer' I'd be more impressed with the beast. Camera diarrhea does not necessarily make for good pictures.
