I'm curious what people pack into their camera bags that aren't camera
specific.
An easy example is a pen. I'm sure everyone has one in their bag,
right? I almost always have a change of clothes stuffed in the background
bags too. Is that common?
But what about other stuff? For instance, I decided on Saturday after a
rather nasty fingernail tear that a pair of clippers will be making an
appearance in my photo stuff soon.
Some things I've debated making into permanent additions are a
flashlight, sun tan lotion, 160' static line (I already carry
carabiners) and climbing harness, toilet paper and a shovel, and a book
I've never read (any book will do).
I generally have the following: A Sharpie Ultra Fine 'magic marker'
because it works on most everything, like film canisters in the olden
days.. A notebook with model release forms, and a regular pen. A
Leatherman Juice which has the usual assortment of screwdrivers and a
pliers and a scissors. A spare battery for the camera. And a small
first aid kit with antiseptic wipes, iodine pads, and a small assortment
of bandages.
Because of a habit I picked up at work over the years I usually have a
MiniMag light Solitare in my pocket.
Oh yeah, and the usual photographic gear.......
