G'day Chris, I can make 430EZ function on my EOS 20D - but only with the flash set to Fixed-power (manual) mode. Guide number rules, OK! See: http://eosdoc.com/manuals?q=430EZ The warning against Focus-recompose applies to E-TTL. It should not apply to the successor: E-TTL II, which is the system used on the EOS 20D. Flash metering is not well-coupled to focus-point with E-TTL II.
