The EF20 is significantly larger than the 24, and now that I'm shooting with a 5D, I find that I rarely use the EF20, whereas with my 1.6x cropped 10D, I used the EF20 quite a bit. I think you'll find it difficult to do better in a small package than the EF24 f2.8. What body are you using?
