I shoot mostly sports, not nature, but I still really miss the ECF of my EOS3, and I've been shooting with a 10D and/or 20D for a few years now. My subjects move too fast for me to manually change the focus points, so I take more center-of-mass shots than I like and take the rest by locking the focus and recomposing (I use the CF so that the * button focuses). BTW, welcome to digital. Despite the drawbacks, since I bought the 10D, I haven't shot a single frame of film.
