Suffered a minor but surprising problem with the AF/MF switch on my EF35 F2
coming off last week. Fortunately I recovered the part and hopefully I've
glued it back into place securely. (The lens functions without the switch
but the AF mode can't be changed precisely, and the focus gears are exposed
to dust and dirt with the switch plate missing. Photos available if
anyone's interested.)
After some thought, I used "UHU All Purpose" clear glue as the least
problematic, if I re-assembled slightly out of line, and needed to repeat
the repair.

Inspecting the lens and mating part of the switch under a 7x Stereozoom I
could just see the glue-line where the switch had been glued originally, so
it's not surprising that it came adrift. (And I wasn't in a press scrum...)

Cheers,
