2.8 IS: 1470 g
2.8: 1310 g
4 IS: 760 g
4: 705 g

For those unfamiliar with the metric system, 1 oz = 28.3 g. 1 lb = 454
g. So the f/4 versions weigh about half of the f/2.8 versions. Makes a
difference on a backpacking trip.
