I was told to download sftware called Capture One But I'm sure ther must be an easier way. It's not worth buying the thing just for that. You can get a 30 day demo too.
It's probably in the file itself. I haven't looked too carefully but when I open a 1ds jpeg or any jpeg I've taken, with a text editor I can spot the name and model of camera, the date and somnetimes my name. Be careful with the pics you distribute. They contain info about you! Anyway, if you just need to see it once try the capture one stuff.
