Hi!,
I'd like to try some minor under water experiments and I was looking
at the options to safely and affordably submerge my EOS5D. It seems
that EWA is the way to go. Which model should be the right one for a
5D + BP + 580EX?
Any experiences with these rather expensive plastic bags? Are they
safe for swimming pool and beach usage? (and maybe a bit of
snorkeling)
I''ll be using 17-40L, would it fit in the port?
thanks!
-gerard.
I have one that I used with an EOS3 and flash; I don't know the model
but it's about 7 years old now. I've used that and an earlier one
(from 1984 or so) quite a bit, and it's the way I would go for
occasional use (a couple of tropical vacations a year).
I used to do scuba diving, but found out after a bit that I enjoy
snorkeling more, so that means that I don't go down more than 10m.
The Ewa-marine setups are all fine for that; some are good for 30m or
even more. Before I go on a trip I test them in a bathtub. They seem
to last for about 10-15 years if you keep them clean.
