Glen

I have had the opportunity to fly a coupe a couple of times. Once with
Syd and once with a fellow chapter member who has one. (Both times was a
great thrill.) But I don't own a 'coupe, and in fact never got my
private.

Due to other reasons, I have decided to forgo the PPL route and go Sport
Pilot, so I'm (very slowly) building a Sonex and it will also be
hand-control equipped.

Mike

Do you fly an Ercoupe, also?

Glen,

I too had polio as a child, and have a set of hand controls for use in
Cessna's. Contact Mike Smith, at the International Wheelchair Aviators,
located in Big Bear CA. I'm sure he would be very happy to help you as
best he can

The only other pedal-less airplane that I am aware was the Skyfarer. In
fact it had no rudders at all. It was a high-wing, 2 place trike, with
twin vertical stabs (like the Ercoupe). I've attached a photo of it and
a 2 page description. There weren't a lot of them made, and only a
couple still flying I believe.
