Ironic, but my friend originally went to A&P school to
be able to all the work on his own plane. He did learn
that, but getting through school took such a toll on
him financially that he couldn't afford to keep his
plane and had to sell it.
Maybe money isn't an issue for you at all, but maybe
it is a good idea to think about how much the
schooling will cost you in $ as well as time.

PS My friend's plane has a whole new happy life at a
flying club in Austrailia.
