Dan & Wayne, Sounds like so much fun. Wish I could go. We flew into Fresno-Chandler once in '02. I got the strong impression that the airport was once a thriving, elegant enterprise that over time got less and less use and less funding. I hope I'm wrong, but it almost looks like the airport property has been overrun with drug dealers and/or gang bangers. In '02 someone told me that there was a new airport manager and he was interested in making things better. I hope that's the case. I also hope that the terminal can be restored to its former art deco beauty - if it isn't already. It's enocouraging to hear that there is a Fly-in there this weekend. Such events will help keep our airports alive. We have lost too many already! It just devasted me when I heard what that p**** Daly did to Meigs and I hadn't ever been there. But anyone that knows about aviation at all knew about Meigs. What a tragedy. How could that happen, in spite of the wishes of the GA community and the people of Chicago? Anyway, I'm totally in favor of doing whatever I can to keep these wonderful, historic airports going.
