Stay away from WD-40 for lubrication.  It is not really a good lubricant,
has 
a very short effective life, and is not compatible with most other lubes.
In 
a pinch, motor oil will work fine for all the items you mentioned, or
3-in-1 
oil if you're in a really cold climate.  LPS-1 will work, too, and it does
not 
attract dirt like oil does.  LPS-3 is too waxy for this purpose and is
more 
of a protectant than a lube.  LPS-2 is somewhere in between.
