Hey guys, one question. The proposed language last I saw also included "minimum steady flight speed" How low can you guys hold the airspeed in a full mush? -Chris -----Original Message----- From: Ed Burkhead [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, July 16, 2004 6:48 PM To: Coupe-List Subject: RE: [COUPERS-FLYIN] Ercoupe in Sport Pilot?!?! ----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- Hartmut wrote: > If the C and C/D is part of the list , that means that the max gross weight > might have been pushed to 1400, but not the (published) stall speed > accordingly. Hartmut, You might have deduced it correctly - if the AOPA website actually knows what it's talking about and I'd bet against that in this case. However, the NPRM said max stall speed of 45 mph and even the 415-C at 1260 can't do that. (Though it might at 1232.) Certainly, any plane born as a C or CD could be "reverted" to that model. I wonder about the planes born as "D". If the C and C/D is part of the list , that means that the max gross weight might have been pushed to 1400, but not the (published) stall speed accordingly. One could reverse the D upgrade and go with the smaller payload, solo flights only, and keep a nice plane that way.
