----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]----Steve,
Drain both tanks, then put 1 gallon in one tank. Wait about 10 minutes for the fuel to equalize between the two wing tanks, then put your stick in and mark it at 1/2 gallon. Repeat with each gallon, and you will have a dip stick calibrated in 1/2 gallon increments.

----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]----A few days ago I posted a message asking whetheranyone has calibrated a dipstick or "fuel-hawk" measuring device for coupe wing tanks.I have received a couple of requests to share anyinformation I receive, but have not heard from anyonewho has done this.I am making one last check to see if anyone can helpwith this task.I am willing to give it a try if no one has done it, butI need some advice about the crossfeed in the wing tanks. It obviusly would not work to simply drain onetank and then measure it as you fill it up, since the crossfeed would confuse the situation. The only way I can think of to do this is to drain both tanks and then to fill the tanks in unison so the crossfeed would not give a confusing reading. It seems like a project for a nice summer afternoon, which unfortunately, we are quickly losing.Once again I would appreciate any help anyone can offer.Steve FinkelmanC-FIWR============================================================================== To leave this forum go to: http://ercoupers.com/lists.htm Search the archives on http://escribe.com/aviation/coupers/
