* A couple of weeks ago, I contacted the FSDO in Miami about a CD model .... A month after manufacture, landing lights were added and the weight and balance were recalculated erroneously using 1400 lb gross weight.
Most (many?) true CD's rolled of the assembly line as "D"s (does this disqualify them from being operated by a Light Sport Pilot? Don't ask, don't tell.). When the landing light was installed it probably was still a "D".
