In reading some of the socialist comments relative to health care, my eyes
begin to cross. The Constitution does not allow for the Federal government to
do much of what it already does, ie: unemployment, welfare, ADC, WIC, section
8, subsidies of any type, and so on. It certainly does not allow for bailing
out banks or auto manufacturing companies, Federal socialized medicine, taking
over banks and auto companies. The loan??? to GM and Chrysler have done
nothing but bail out the union retirement and health care programs. GM is
worse off than before they took Federal money. Chrysler may still go under.
GM will certainly go under if the feds run it.
I am on federal health care now. A GS7 reviews what my doctor recommends and
decides if it is warranted or not. The doctor must obtain approval before
implementing any tests. The GS 7 may decide just not to reply, which has been
done in many cases. By the way the GS7 has no medical training.
Gephart and Lamb and Obama have all indicated that old people should be
expected to suffer. The old folks may or may not get any care under Obama's
plan.
If our system is so bad, why do Canadians come here to get care instead of
waiting 6-7 months for an MRI on a brain tumor. Socialized government run
medicine works for the government, not for the patient. THe proposed plan will
give free medical care to illegals, illegally residing in this country at tax
payer expense.
I want to chose my doctor and insurance. I do not want to see a doctor start a
timer and tell me he can only spend 5 minutes with me like is done in merry old
England.
Most folks that want the government in charge have not initiative and want to
be cared for, for free all their lives at other's expense.
Ed I realize this may be to radical for the group so I won't post any more
about the subject regardless of the responses I receive. If anyone replies
privately to me and is not nice, look out.
