The Stromberg is the victim of much underserved maligning, primarily by
those 
who do not understand how it is supposed to work and how it is supposed to
be 
used.  Let's see, no two piece venturi with it's attendent AD, no
accelerator 
pump, no economizer, etc, etc.  And yet folks seem to be able to coax 
Stromberg equiped aircraft, even with the mixture wired rich, to altitudes

high enough to cross the Rockies.  Try that with a Marvel!

Never ask an A&P to work on your Stromberg if he thinks it's an "inferior"

carb.  He probably doesn't know which end the fuel goes in...
