Hello all, My Alon A2 has the two fuel cutoff valves in the standard locations: - main valve, between header tank and carburetor, is a few inches in from the instrument panel, about midway between pilot and passenger. It is hidden from view and the pilot or pax must reach down and underneath the panel to find it. - secondary valve, between fuel pump and header tank, is on the far right side, about midway between firewall and instrument panel. It is very much hidden from view and somewhat difficult to find and reach in flight. During my first annual for the Alon, the mechanic was concerned that these positions, though apparently in their factory positions, are not safe in an inflight emergency. He would like to come up with extensions for both and move the handles to the panel. He suggested I post here and see if anyone has done this already. If so do you have a copy of the 337 we could use?
