A number of the alternators that are out there were, I thought, STC'd for all Continental engines to which they applied. The FSDO has no choice about an STC. That said, if you have 60- or 40- or 20-year old wiring in the plane that was predicated on an 20-amp generator in the first place, you might want to look to the airframe :-) Greg At 11:30 AM 7/8/2003 -0700, Paul M.
