I'm right in the middle of a strut rebuild on my 415-C converted to a D and need some guidance on taking the strut apart. I've got the strut out of the plane and have taken out the two screws holding the head in but don't know exactly where to got from here (the only instructions are for the strut with 4 screws holding the head in). I tried gently pushing the head down as described in the instructions but it seems pretty firm and I'd really hate to break something. Any info/tips would be greatly appreciated.
