correctly, in a strictly VFR airplane attitude and directional gyros are not required, nor were they on the original type certificate. Only altitude, airspeed, and engine instruments are required for VFR flight. Am I correct,then, that if I want to replace the existing old AN-type gyros I can do so with non-TSO'd instruments, which are about $150 per unit cheaper, with the appropriate documentation (337,etc)?
