I have a 46 415 -C that I inherited ...
I am looking at the upgrade to double nose fork (I have a single fork on both planes) and am a little confused as to what I need. I know that I will also need a new rim, tire etc. could someone let me know what all I will actually need and if in your opinion it is worth it.
IMHO, Randy, you should keep the single fork. The known downsides are the tires cost
more because they are more rare. The inner tubes are even worse! There is a washer
with ears that bend over to keep the nut secure that may be worn out like mine. Shimmy
can be an issue, but is curable by tightening up the linkages and balancing the tire.
Upside = no adjustment to the main gears. The bearing is a standard size that should
be available from any good bearing shop.
